Each year, and sometimes twice a year, Angels Flight conducts evacuation drills in conjunction with our wonderful Los Angeles Fire Department. This year, Companies 3, 4, and 10, under the supervision of Chief David Yamahata, conducted the drill. Passengers to be “rescued” came from members of the Angels Flight Board of Directors and music students from the Coburn School.

The drill was a tremendous success. Olivet and Sinai were stopped on the trackbed at the least accessible point, and that’s where the drill was conducted. All passengers were safely and efficiently “rescued” within 35 minutes! A big THANK YOU goes to Chief Yamahata and his marvelous firefighters!
